Happy Holidays to you all!

Erik-

this is going to be short and sweet, because Lisa has shit to do! (he says this jokingly to me as I’m writing this)

Lisa-

Happy Holidays to you all! Erik wants me to talk about stepping into your life’s purpose and not being afraid to speak up among a crowd of other voices.

Last week, when I asked Erik to help me choose a topic for our article, he didn’t answer me right away. Instead, he sent me a meme on the internet 3 days later that perfectly explains what we’re going to discuss. I knew it was sent from Erik to me the moment I saw it. Here is what the meme said.

“There are people less qualified than you who are doing the things you want to do, simply because they decide to believe in themselves. Period.”

Erik then showed me a picture of myself (because I am guilty of doing this) as well as other people who are on similar paths. What did we all have in common?

Self-sabotage via procrastination.

Why are we procrastinating our Life’s work? Particularly in regards to our own spirituality? I’ll offer some bullet points of reasons why I do it.

-         There are already so many other spiritual gurus, counselors, mediums etc.…out there. The market is too saturated to want to hear what I have to say.

-         Who am I to compete with the “professionals”?

-         What do I have to say that hasn’t already been said

-         Everyone knows that already, why write another article about it? (Erik is laughing hard about this one because I say this all the time. He says, “No Lisa, everyone DOESN’T know already, that’s your claircognizance talking.”

-         So, and so already covered that topic, so there is nothing more to be said about it.

-         I have nothing of value to add.

Erik-

Now let’s talk about pleasure. Life is to be enjoyed, not endured. If you were sent here to spread a message or some new form of belief or experience, then you should speak up, write that book, give that lecture, even if you don’t think you have an audience. When you speak your truths, and live your life’s path, life is more enjoyable. You will experience pleasure in what you do and what you have to offer others. Along with that, the right people will be drawn to your message and what you have to offer.

Because here’s the big secret. There is room for ALL OF US! There is enough for everybody. Enough clients, enough money, enough orders, enough book deals, enough blogspace, enough lessons to be learned. There are enough experiences to go around. It is impossible to run dry in an infinite Universe spilling over with opportunities.

Lisa-

I’ve been working as a professional psychic for well over a decade now and I still have problems with this. If you dig a little deeper, I would say that the procrastinating, the fear of speaking up, the thinking that the market is oversaturated and that there’s a book for that already!  That type of thinking all goes back to one thing. Believing that you’re not worthy enough to step into your own in a more public, social way.

Erik-

that’s very true. But you don’t have to feel 100% worthy to start. Sometimes chipping away slowly at the things you’ve procrastinated at will do enough to inspire you to feel more secure. And that small bit of self-worth will grow little by little the more you work with it and recognize it. But if you don’t take that step and you continue to “oh poor me, look at how successful this person is or that” when all they are doing is what makes them happy then you are truly missing out.

Lisa-

And here is where it comes around full circle. You. Are. Worthy. is the name of my website that Erik gave me almost 2 years ago. It’s a great reminder, not just for me, but for all of us!

So please, who cares how many of us are out there.  Don’t be afraid to join in if you feel like you have something to say. There’s an audience for all of us, but we MUST SPEAK UP for them to be able to hear us. If you’re not doing it, someone else will!
